Yet More Ways to Find Companies « Greg Quirk's Blog

I have already had a couple of posts on the topic of how to find companies (you can see them here and here).  For me this is still a big area that I believe deserves a lot of attention.  You can have the best resume in the world and be the best candidate that a company has ever seen, but unless you know where to send your resume you are not going to get anywhere.  I’ve talked about the value of LinkedIn, ZoomInfo, Google Maps, and others, but I have found a few new places to look that I wanted to share.  Please note that this search is focused on Ottawa companies, but it should not be too much of a stretch to use the same technique to find companies in any city.  The realization I had was that a company that gets awards and recognition is likely a company that I want to work for, and is quite possibly a company that is going to be looking to hire.
